Gillete Venus Snap with Embrace

Hey guys! I’m going to be talking about and reviewing the new Gillette Venus snap with embrace that I got sent to try from Influenster.

Alrighty, everyone knows Gillette. They have razors, shaving cream, and body skin care. I feel like I don’t even need to talk about it, so let’s move onto the good part!

My thoughts

     Travel razors are a pretty new thing, have you tried one?  The first thing I noticed about this razor was the pretty pink handle! I love how you can replace the blade after it gets dull too (and the cool blue case with little baby holes that succeed in helping your razor properly dry).

  

  The first time I used the razor, I got a seriously close shave with the five blades. With this product, you don’t need shaving cream, you just wet it and you’re ready to go. This is really convenient to have in your purse, travel bag, or in your bathroom ready to take with you if you need it. After a few days of using it, I dropped into target since I needed shaving cream and saw that this was $10. In my opinion, that’s a little pricy for a travel razor. I would probably only repurchase if I had a great coupon.

   

  Speaking of shaving cream, the Snap features and Embrace strip which is supposed to replace shaving cream. Long story short, I don’t think it does. The strip provides little moisturizing and none of the amusement I always get from squirting out shaving cream. No, but really, I love using my shaving cream because it makes my razor glide, reduces redness, and hydrates my skin and I don’t think this mini strip can replace it.

   After using it and really forming my opinions on it, I’d probably rate it a 6.5/10. It gives a close shave and is super convenient, but is a bit expensive and doesn’t replace shaving cream. I’d say if shaving cream isn’t a big deal for you and you are willing to spend more money, this is a great product for you. If you love your shaving cream and don’t want to spend $10+ on a mini razor, I’d say you’ll want to skip out on this.
