Avocado Facial Mask

I used to do more masks, especially store bought, but I mostly got sick of doing them and didn’t take the time to do it anymore. Avocado masks have always been a classic and go to for DIY facial masks and today I’m going to share my experiences with them!

What I did

Recently, I remembered how much fun avocado masks are and got the idea to do one. Avocados are probably one of my favorite foods, so I ate half of a ripe hass avocado and mixed the rest.

Preparing an avocado facial is pretty simple. Basically, you mash it up into a creamy paste and apply. There are some optional other ingredients like lemon juice, olive oil, egg whites, and honey. For normal skin, adding olive oil, lemon juice, orange juice, and even weird ingredients like boiled carrots and yogurt is nourishing and good for you. For dry skin, olive oil, orange juice, honey, egg yolk, and aloe vera are great. For oily skin, add egg whites, lemon juice, honey, yogurt, and cucumber.

When I do avocado masks, my skin always feels great afterward. After a plain mask, my skin feels extra clean, but also extra moisturized. I recommend them to everyone with all different skin types.

Extra ingredients and Benefits

Overall

Avocado is great for every skin type. If all of these other ingredients seem annoying or confusing, you could just have a plain avocado mask. That’s what I do most of the time.

Dry

Banana and olive oil will both smooth and moisturize. Honey is wondering for nourishing and is also in normal and oily avocado masks. Lastly, egg yolks will nourish your skin with vitamins and all that other good stuff.

Oily

Egg whites regulate oiliness and are great for inflammation and any redness in your face. The combination of honey, yogurt, and cucumber together with avocado will nourish and cleanse oily skin as well.
